A bonus for the skier is the 7 kilometers long ski - road between Banderishka Polyana and the town. Some of the pistes offer wonderful conditions for night skiing, which is available for everyone from 18.30 until 21.30.

Snow boarders can enjoy the Balkans Fun - Park. It offers the option to ski over artificial bumps and jumps as well as to build your own. Also, the half -pipe located where Bansko’s famous snow towers are usually built, offers both skiers and snowboarders an arena to display their latest tricks. Bansko offers great variety of ski pistes that can satisfy everyone's tastes and abilities. The highest ski piste is 2600 meters above sea level.

100% of the ski runs are covered by snow cannons, which guarantee sufficient snow coverage from December to May. Difficulty scale distribution is as followed: 30% Beginners, 45% Advanced and 35% Expert.

Beginners to Skiing
Bansko is the place to be for beginners. Lots of long gentle blue runs, nursery slopes and an easy to use lift system. Our qualified ski instructors hold classes and tuition every day through the winter season to ensure you enjoy yourself safely on the slopes.

Intermediate Skiers
For those wishing to develop their technique, you’ll have lots of choice. With challenging red runs weaving between the trees, and an uninterrupted 16Km run from the top of the mountain to the bottom, you’ll not be disappointed. If you’d like to push yourself that bit further you can book one to one tuition with an instructor.

Advanced Skiers
A handful of red runs and the Alberto Tomba Black will keep most experts busy, but Bansko is probably more popular for its extreme and off piste skiing and snowboarding opportunities. Please remember to take advice from us before attempting any off-piste skiing! Conditions change daily. The resort is a regular host to extreme competitons, including the 2009, 2010 and 2011 world cups. The ski and board park area and half pipe facility are very popular with experts looking to hone their skills.
